With 250 corporate members who all have a direct involvement in the development of sports and play facilities – from contractors, manufacturers and suppliers to consultants, test laboratories, sports governing bodies and related organisations.

A trade association of contractors, manufacturers and suppliers who undertake to comply with recognised standards of workmanship and materials. The LDCA publishes Technical Specifications for Field Drainage Schemes, Pipeline Reinstatement Drainage and Guidelines for Sportsturf Drainage Installation which set out the quality of workmanship and materials to be used in drainage and water management schemes. These standards are recognised by industry bodies and the LDCA Sportsturf Guidelines have been adopted by Sport England and the Football Foundation as the standard to which funded sportsturf drainage schemes must be carried out.

Have a national online database, the UK’s largest register for pre-qualified contractors and consultants.   For suppliers to the construction industry, Constructionline means there is no longer a need to repeatedly fill in standard pre-qualification forms for every construction tender. 8,000 buyers from 2000 organisations use the Constructionline database to source contractors and consultants.



Provides independent advice to around 2,100 sports clubs and leisure facilities every year. They specialise in advice and expertise for all natural and artificial sports surfaces across the globe. STRI works with clients to provide quality, bespoke and cost effective solutions for the design, construction and management of their sports surfaces. In addition, STRI manages multiple research projects and product trials each year.



The Institute of Groundsmanship is a membership organisation representing the whole of the groundscare industry and all those involved in it. The IOG is committed to promoting quality surfaces and quality services and establish the IOG as the leading professional organisation for grounds management. It has a strong membership base, successful events in IOG SALTEX and award-winning monthly magazines.



The IAgrE is the professional body for engineers, scientists, technologists and managers in agricultural and allied landbased industries, including forestry, food engineering and technology, amenity, renewable energy, horticulture and the environment.
